Cancel any time from Manage billing, which opens the Stripe portal. Two clicks, no email, no phone call, no reason required, and nobody asks you to stay. Your subscription ends at the end of the period you already paid for and you keep full access until then. Nothing is charged after that.
Your paid plan belongs to the Aliquot account used at Checkout. Sign in to that account: access normally restores automatically, then use Manage billing. Restore access is only for a one-time link generated from an already entitled device. If you cannot sign in to the purchasing account, write to hello@aliquotchem.com for help.
Within the 14-day withdrawal period you get everything back: see Right of withdrawal, which is a statutory right and not a policy we could change.
After that, cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding the current period, because you keep access for the whole period. But if something went wrong, if you were charged twice, if the service was broken when you needed it, or if you subscribed by mistake, write to hello@aliquotchem.com and it will be refunded. There is no argument to be had over a few euro.
We would rather refund someone who did not strictly qualify than have a student out of pocket over a lab tool. Ask.
The longer cadences are discounted because they are paid up front. Cancelling mid-term stops the renewal and leaves your access running to the end of the term. If you need to leave a long plan early for a real reason, a course ending, a lab closing, a job change, write to us and we will work out the unused remainder rather than quote the small print at you.
Stripe handles payment and subscription billing records. If you need a particular billing name, VAT identification number, or purchase-order reference, contact us before buying so we can confirm the document and tax handling that apply to your purchase.
If a renewal fails, Stripe retries over a few days and emails you. You keep access while that is happening. If it never succeeds, the subscription ends and you return to the free tier. Nothing is sent to a debt collector, ever, and no fee is added.
The price you agreed applies for as long as your subscription runs uninterrupted. If prices change, existing subscribers are told at least 30 days before a renewal at a new price, and cancelling instead is always an option. We will not quietly re-rate you.
If you dispute a charge with your bank rather than with us, access ends while the dispute runs, because Stripe holds the funds. It is faster for both of us if you email first. We do not contest a good-faith dispute.
Nothing is deleted when you cancel. Your saved protocols, cookbook, and inventory live in your browser and stay there. You return to the free tier, which keeps every calculator and a rolling 90 days of protocols, and export stays available in every format you already had, so you can take all of it with you. Older saved work becomes visible again if you resubscribe.
If you want your billing record erased rather than just your subscription ended, that is a separate request and Privacy explains what we can and cannot delete, since issued invoices have a statutory retention period.
Group and institution licences are invoiced individually, and their cancellation and refund terms are whatever the agreement says. Ask before signing, not after. We are happy to put a pilot term or an exit clause in writing.
